About The Kitsch
The Kitsch is a cultural platform focused on Latin American art, created with a clear intention: to provide value, context, and legitimacy to the region’s artistic practices within a global circuit.
Kitsch operates as a bridge between artists, collectors, institutions, and audiences, developing projects that range from critical content and interviews to initiatives related to collecting, advisory, and the circulation of artworks.
Our approach combines a curatorial perspective, critical thinking, and an active understanding of the art ecosystem, generating not only discourse, but also real opportunities to position Latin American art in an international context.

AS FEATURED ON

What is The Kitsch?
We are a cultural platform working to position Latin American art within the international circuit. Through critical content, advisory, and strategic connections, we generate context, legitimacy, and real opportunities for artists, collectors, and institutions.

Manifesto
Latin America is not a category, not a style, nor a homogeneous aesthetic, nor a single narrative.
For decades, external discourse has simplified the region, reducing it to an easily consumable identity. In the art world (where categories organize, legitimize, and circulate) this reduction has limited a true understanding of its complexity. But Latin America is not a single voice: it is a multiplicity of contexts, histories, tensions, and languages. There are as many discourses as there are curators, as many pursuits as there are artists, as many ways of understanding the world as there are works produced in the region. Its richness lies not in labels, but in difference.
At The Kitsch, we understand that the true potential of Latin American art has not yet been fully visible, not due to a lack of quality, but due to a lack of space, interpretation, and structures that allow it to develop on its own terms.
That is why we exist: to question imposed categories, to complicate the narrative, to generate context where there has been simplification, but also to act.
The Kitsch is not just a space for discourse; it is a platform that operates within the art ecosystem, connecting artists, collectors, curators, and institutions. We work from an editorial perspective, but also through collecting, advisory, and the circulation of artworks, understanding that legitimacy is not only theoretical, but also structural. We believe in the power of the local as a global force, that each scene, each practice, and each perspective contributes to shaping a region that is still to be defined on its own terms.
Services
We work with collectors, institutions, and agents within the art ecosystem to develop strategies that combine a curatorial perspective, market knowledge, and cultural context.
From advising on the acquisition of Latin American contemporary art to building and positioning collections, we support long-term processes with a strategic and coherent approach. At the same time, we collaborate with fairs, galleries, and institutions in the development of content, curatorial direction, and cultural projects that expand the reach and interpretation of art within the international circuit.
Art Advisory
Strategic Advisory

Strategy & Projects
Curatorial & Institutional Strategy
We develop projects in collaboration with fairs, galleries, and institutions, ranging from the production of specialized content to the conceptual and strategic direction of cultural and curatorial initiatives.
Content & Education
Content & Programs
We produce critical content across our platforms (YouTube, newsletter, and digital media) as a way of building context and expanding the understanding of Latin American art. We are currently developing educational programs, intensive seminars, and study experiences that will further expand this line of work.
Team
Kitsch is made up of an interdisciplinary team connected to the contemporary art world, combining critical thinking, curatorial sensitivity, and market understanding. From different experiences and contexts, we share a common intention: to actively contribute to the construction, interpretation, and positioning of Latin American art within the international circuit.
Our practice is not limited to analysis, but develops through direct engagement with artists, collectors, institutions, and cultural projects. This proximity allows us to operate with an informed, strategic perspective that is closely connected to the real movements of the art ecosystem.
